The Chautauqua program drew 3000 to 6000 guests with Professor Ritchie delivering magic acts and levitations assisted by Mrs Ritchie. The Metropolitan Quartette from St Paul and Arion Ladies of Chicago brought notable performances. Lectures by Rev Father Nugent and Professor Ladd highlighted the Sunday and Fargo day plans include Indian Day with 2000 Indians and a large slate of athletic events, theater, and entertainment.

The eighth annual North Dakota Chautauqua Press Day drew editors and their guests to Spirit Lake events. Officers were elected including E H Kent and Galbraith. a steam boat ride, a Minnie H lake cruise, and a grand promenade at Wineman hall featured music, dancing, and a 2 am finish. Notable attendees included Governor LaFollette ill with appendicitis and U S Senator Hans Brogh, with 200 attendees praising the celebration.

The North Dakota Chau tauqua association held its annual meeting at the assembly grounds on July 10 at 3 p.m. Directors for three years were Geo. W. H. Davis, Hon. E. H. Kent, and C. B. Davenport. Two-year terms went to Hon J. F. Cowan and D. W. Kelly. A list of honorary directors followed including D. W. McCanna Cando and many others across North Dakota and neighboring areas.
