Rain and trains delay day for Devils Lake press meet
Heavy rain dampened the day as newspaper workers arrived by rail to the Devils Lake Chautauqua grounds. A postponed 10 o'clock business meeting gave way to a noon arrival of more reporters and renewed spirits. Hon. J. P. Dolliver is slated to speak this afternoon while Miss Maria L. Sanford of the University of Minnesota urges women’s clubs to broaden public welfare, education, and civic betterment. A welcome by Mrs. Thorson and performances by local singers followed.
