Nine New Trains For Great Northern Service
Great Northern plans a six figure million dollar project this summer to re establish double service between St Paul and Seattle. Nine complete trains are being built in Ohio for June 1 deployment to replace Flyers 3 and 4. Each 11 car set includes a cafe observation car and sixteen trans continental trains will be in constant service.

Blind Pig Raided and Injunctions Hit North Side
Sherif Rutten raided a blind pig last Saturday finding five cases of beer, whisky and wine. In the suspect residence basement 23 more cases of spirits were seized. The entire house was under injunction, the family ordered out, and sheriff’s possession established. This marks the fifth injunction against Mr. Way since June 15.

XIX Club Dances At Grand Forks Opera House
The XIX Century club held a dance under W. W. Hall for Grand Forks public library last night at the opera house. Two more dances are planned on Friday January 31 and Monday February 10 with Hall again providing music and ladies serving a midnight luncheon. Tickets cost 1.25 per couple. An Easter Monday final ball with Hall's quartet and an elaborate supper is planned.

700 Tons of Ice at Devils Lake Trade Season
The LaRue Miller company mobilizes a large workforce to store 700 tons of ice for next summer, the largest quantity ever held for a season at Devils Lake. The ice is of unusually fine quality, shale free, with F. W. Cockburn and others also expanding supplies for market and personal use.
