Ramsey County Board Adopts 1899 Officers and Finances
Ramsey County North Dakota held a regular meeting January 3 1899 with commissioners Baker Van Liew Day McCormick and Anderson present. James McCormick and Christian Anderson sworn in. Fred Baker elected chairman. Henry Hale’s resignation as county auditor accepted Emil Eich appointed auditor with bond approved. juror apportionment set. various bills approved. numerous bonds for officials authorized. salary and court expenditures listed. a reapportionment request for a tax refund and a special election note for an asylum purchase discussed. adjourned to January 4.
