Louis Thompson Dies From Souris Shooting Wounds
Louis Thompson died from a bullet wound received Saturday night in Souris. He passed away at Grand Forks hospital yesterday at 8 15 a m with his parents at his side. Remains arrived last night and the funeral is set for Saturday at 1 30 p m from the family home. The community extends sympathy to the grief stricken family.

Mrs Thompson Walker Dead In North Dakota Funeral Held
Margaret Jane Baird born January 19 1837 in Washington County Pennsylvania moved to Memphis Missouri with husband Thompson Walker in 1859. They had four children two sons survived Alex and Herbert B. who later moved to Ramsey County North Dakota in 1883. Mrs Walker was a charter Presbyterian member in Devils Lake and taught in the Sunday school. She died January 15 1912 after pneumonia. Funeral in Memphis Missouri January 17 1902.

Fred Fair of North Dakota and C E Hallett of Montana battled for the Northwest title and a $100 purse at the opera house yesterday. Hallett won the first fall in 15 minutes while Fair captured the next two in 12 and 15 minutes. Linville of Larimore challenged the winner for a $100 side and box receipts, and a contract was signed in Wineman block East today.
