Oregon reunion forms North Dakota association in Roseburg
Residents of Roseburg and vicinity who formerly lived in North Dakota held a reunion at Hayles hall and organized a permanent North Dakota association. About eighty attended. L A Ueland served as temporary chair with H R Fancher as secretary. Officers named include L A Ueland president and Mrs Gorthy vice president. Two general meetings yearly were approved, with dues and enrollment to be set by the executive committee. Remarks praised Rev H D Gifford and Ueland for organizing effort. Former resident Milton arrested for prohibition violation
Pearl Milton was arrested at the Leland Hotel in Minot by Deputy Sheriff Hovind after failing to serve a 90 day jail sentence for a prior prohibition violation. Milton, formerly of Devils Lake, had paid a $300 fine but skipped his jail time, and was located through his description. He faces 90 days in Sheriff Sampson's bastile.

Seek Star in the West Seeks a Trip to the Pacific
Four young Minnesota and Wisconsin girls set out from St Paul aiming to travel west by car or train to seek opportunities in farming and new settlements. They started from St Paul last Sunday and plan to join a larger group in Devils Lake tomorrow to pursue a Joop of the United States as funds permit. A. Hann returns from the Mechanics Mutual Benefit association convention at Minot. About sixty members from across North Dakota and several traveling salesmen attended despite stormy weather. Officers elected for the next year include President Bathgate Grand Forks Vice President J B McKeon Surrey Secretary Treasurer J C Myerhouse Langdon. The gathering discussed threshing law scope and enforcement, member pay, and public image. next convention planned for Devils Lake in February 1912 with Willis ton and Grand Forks bidding for hosting.
