Webster Notes Warm Christmas Cheer In Town
All around Webster the citizens send merry Christmas wishes. The W C T U ladies finished candy making at Mrs Baldwin’s and decorated the tree of trees. Miss Maggie Chisholm joined holiday visitors from Jamestown. Ray Smith was taken to the city hospital for typhoid symptoms. Carrie Howett and Alma Howett traveled to the Lake for holidays. W D Millar visited the Harbor over Sunday. A Christmas dance is set for Friday night in Webster hall. Mr Howett and Pitcher plan trips to California and Arizona for winter. Bob Webster now handles the timetable. Mrs Baldwin elected Sunday school assistant superintendent. W E Goozee returned from Washington and Oregon. Mr and Mrs L D Snell and baby Ethel left for Grand Forks for holidays. Mr Bishop to replace Rev Walker as Bible class teacher. Sunday school affected by fields at Penn and Dry Lake. Rasmus Sorenson and family came from the Lake. Axel Lennon visited the Lake. Mr Fairbanks from the Lake called in Webster. Mrs Wilson Morse hosted an oyster supper with Kel ler, Snell families, Olaf Leet, and Baldwin family. A merry time was had with contests among Hare and Allen, McGahan and Bostroms, Byrne and Moorhouse for county offices and other local races.
