First Man In Streeter Net
J H Bloom editor of the Devils Lake Journal was arrested on a criminal libel charge based on a Ward county pay order for jail use allegedly paid to Ramsey county. The case stems from auditor wording. Bloom waived a preliminary hearing and posted 500 bond for district court appearance with McClory & Barnett as defense lawyers. This marks the first Streeter law arrest in the state and draws statewide interest.

Denoyer Boy Falls In Well
William Denoyer four year old son of Attorney and Mrs Jos Denoyer formerly of this city Minot fell into a forty foot well Monday evening and sustained a skull fracture feared fatal. He and a companion played near a well under repair when the boy slipped and struck bottom sand filled sides. he missed water center and was saved by his companion’s alarm.

Two new towns named Hansboro and Frick will sprout along the Farmers line extension from Starkweather to near the international boundary in North Dakota. The land offers fine soil and abundant water, with sales of town lots set for September 5 at the State Bank of Rolla. An on-site plot view will run September 4, and trains are expected to run within two weeks.
