Bertha Belcher daughter of Mr and Mrs J Belcher of Lake Township died after six months illness. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church with Rev T A Oben and Rev Z Jones assisting. A large funeral cortege and many tributes followed. Belcher was known as a poet and a kindly figure loved by all who knew her.

The Abar Auto Co opens a two story brick garage on the former Bijou site at Kelly avenue and Second streets. The building includes offices storage for 40 cars first floor, 15 on the second, a two ton elevator and a full workshop on the second floor with a complete machine shop to follow. The facility aims to be the most complete auto garage and repair shop in the twin cities.
