The Friday race matinee featured a half mile two heat match between Doc Colbert owned by John Frenendteds and Tangent owned by SAL Dohoney. Tangent won the second heat by a half length while Doc Colbert had led early. third heat saw Doc Colbert fail due to broken hobble. An Indian pony race followed with Buckskin winning.
