Grand Forks March 20 The North Dakota board of game and fish control acted to expand fish hatchery output to 10 000 000 to 14 000 000 fish annually and to domesticate wild fowl including ring necked pheasants Hungarian partridge and northern quail They plan to purchase 300 pheasants for Captain Mann the state fish commissioner to domesticate and raise young stock The remainder will be released in suitable locations to propagate If successful the birds will be raised in water numbers and the Fish Lake hatchery will operate by April 15 The board approved distribution of fish already on hand and the federal government will supply hatchery spawn The board has over 300 applications from across the state for fish to stock lakes and will fulfill them as soon as possible Captain Mzin’s efforts.
