Destin’s Deal Properties plans a 400 to 650 unit hotel, 300 condos and 30 specialty shops on 16 acres near Holiday Inn. Two-foot steel spheres found on Sandestin beach
Eglin EOD team determined two rusted two-foot diameter steel spheres uncovered in Sandestin dunes are harmless. Initially thought to be mines or air bottles, officials found no pressure and confirmed the objects contained only water. The spheres may be remnants from World War II rocket tests at Topsail Bluff, according to local residents.

Saudi Corp Unloads Isle Land in $10 Million Sale
Destin records show Saudi Corp sold 48.13 acres on Holiday Isle to Destin Guardian Corp of Little Rock for 10 million dollars. The sale preceded Harris paying 1.1 million in back taxes to the IRS and a six year prison sentence for income tax evasion. Vic Deal said his partnership bought western end parcels for development of 600 to 800 condos.
