Walton Utility Budget Okayed and White Resigns
The South Walton Utility Company approves a 1982-83 operating budget of 375,125 dollars with nearly 30,000 for new equipment and a five percent across the board pay raise for staff. Earl White resigns as SWU manager but stays until a replacement is found and to be nominated for the board. Four new directors to be elected November 10. The board considers an extension for a sewer project on Driftwood Road and water main work to Winterchase. A proposed water and sewer franchise area south of the bay is outlined for Walton County Commission review October 26. Projected demand suggests SWU capacity by late 1983 or early 1984.
