Thornhill Stretches To Rodeo Run Win
Jayson Thornhill, a 20-year-old airman from Hurlburt Field, won the Destin LOG Rodeo Run 10K in 33 18, beating Al Lawson by 18 seconds as Jere Boutz faded with a late cramp. Terry Allen won the women’s race in 33 21, just ahead of Donna Duty, with Barbara Galloway third. A 1 Mile race saw Russell Phillips top the boys and Julie Cole win the girls. Publisher Jack Becklund praised the strong turnout and said plans for a bigger, better event next year.
