Coalition Seeks Florida Seat Belt Law to Save Nine Locals
The Florida Coalition for Auto Safety says a mandatory seat belt law could save nine motorists in Okaloosa County next year, with 54 more spared incapacitating injuries. Executive director Kathleen Teague cites five year patrol data and compares to New York, urging swift legislative action before June adjournment. The group notes statewide gains and a 65 to 23 percent public approval.
