Primrose Restoration Plans Earn Local Support in Destin
Boat restorer Frank Gibbs seeks to repair his grandfather’s Primrose rather than rebuild it. Butch Cheek will supervise as Gibbs undergoes back surgery. The project aims to lift, brace, and cover the boat for safe on-site work while honoring Capt. John Melvin Sr. Donations to Friends of the Primrose fund the effort, with a painting raffle and fish fry fundraiser supporting the cause.
