DOT Bows To 7 Lane Opposition In Destin Plan Revisions
In response to local resistance the state DOT scrapped seven lane plans for U S 98 and will widen medians and remove curb parking. The new design adds two widened through lanes and three pedestrian activated signals from the Destin Bridge to Main Street with medians increasing from 16 to 30 feet.
