Red-tag Notice Halt Shifting Isle Sand Project
Holiday Isle condominium Waterview Towers was halted Thursday as Okaloosa County officials acted after the Holiday Isle Improvement Association alerted authorities that sand may have been removed from a Corps of Engineers spoil easement. County chair Bill Peebles Jr said there may be a three way involvement among the state Corps and developers. Aimed at preventing further sand removal, county inspectors ordered the project stopped and instructed foremen to contact the Corps.
