Catches Keep Growing This Weekend Among Anglers
Weekend fishing boasted huge hauls with Capt Ripp Miller’s Barbi Anne reporting over 60 Amberjack, Capt John Cox’s Restless Wind bringing bottom catches, and Capt Johnny Hails’s Miss Tracy yielding 16 Grouper one day and 13 the next. A 157 pound Blue Marlin was caught aboard Summit by Jim Adams, and local boats from Daniel Construction and several party boats contributed strong totals including 1500 pounds of bottom catches. Officials warned about scallop boats disturbing reefs while anglers urged offshore limits to protect the fishery.
