Buffer zone enforcement decision delayed in Okaloosa County
County commissioners asked attorney John Dowd to determine if Pine Ridge Trace II homeowners association would police a buffer zone shown in the original plans. The area, a wooded strip between housing types, was not in covenants or deeds. Dowd to report after discussing with residents ahead of a two week meeting.

Crystal Beach Condo Put On Hold
Okaloosa County Commissioners took no action on the Crystal Beach Regency condominium project east of Henderson Beach due to incomplete plans for drainage and wastewater disposal. County engineer Dave Heinrich will review drainage plans and present a recommendation later. The board approved two docks in Calhoun subdivision and on Gulf Shore Drive, a deck on Sixth Street, and a bulkhead at Century Park Villas on Indian Trail.

Destin Water Users engineers will contact eight to ten landowners in Destin next week to assess using their land for sewage disposal.
