Peggy Gotcher of Point Washington makes "Peggy's Pets" dolls from Foster Children patterns. She began in June 1983 for her granddaughter Kirsten, sewing hours into lace and fabrics, aided by her Swiss Bernina. Her work blends handmade gowns, hand whipped lace, and 14 karat gold accents, with plans for christening dresses and custom doll outfits.
