Adler Murder Trial Begins
Destin resident Mary Anne Adler faces a second degree murder charge in a week long jury trial expected after nine Monday. Assistant State Attorney Rimmer said a six member panel will be chosen from about 30 Okaloosa County residents with trial possibly lasting most of the week. Adler shot Walter Joel Adler, 40, in their Destin home on June 4 and later pleaded not guilty to murder after an initial manslaughter charge.
