Sheraton Coronado Beach Resort Launches $2 Million Modernization
Okaloosa Island’s Sheraton Coronado, owned by Dempsey Boyd, begins a $2 million first phase to modernize the 26 year old hotel. The project adds nearly 4,000 square feet, expands meeting space to 225 seats, renovate lobby Last Hurrah Lounge and restaurant, upgrades decor with new carpet drapes wallpaper, and features a tropical center court with a Tiki style restaurant. Architect is Charles Giller. phase one finishes by late spring with a second phase adding 46 guest rooms in 1988. Community involvement is a key goal under manager Pat Thomas of Southern Hospitality Management Co.
