LWV To Sponsor Candidate Forum In Destin
The League of Women Voters will sponsor a question and answer forum with Destin council and mayoral candidates on Thursday at the Holiday Inn banquet room. Social time begins at 6 30 p m with the forum at 7 p m. A candidate will be drawn from a hat to answer each question. All candidates are invited and the public is urged to attend.

Homestead Exemption Deadline In Okaloosa County
Okaloosa County Property Appraiser Howard Hilburn reminds homeowners that the 1985 Homestead Exemption renewal forms will be mailed December 31. Eligible residents must return the signed card by March 1, 1985. New Florida residents must file in person with deed or sales contract and two proofs of residence dated before January 1, 1985, plus Florida driver license and vehicle registration. Both spouses must meet residence requirements for full exemption. March 1, 1985 is the final filing deadline.
