New Bryant Book Critiqued as Too Late and Flawed
The Legend of Bryant by Mickey Herskowitz, a Houston Post columnist, garners praise for writing but flaws for accuracy. The book claims Bryant’s last home loss was 1963, ignores 1982 Alabama defeat, and covers topics from his Alabama era to 1978 gubernatorial politics. It also notes Bryant’s cosmetic surgery in 1982 and hints at his drinking.
