Savannah and Charleston Garden Club Tour Planned for April
The Savannah Area Garden Club announces a two city tour to Savannah and Charleston in April. Last year two buses toured Riverroad Plantations in Louisiana and members praised it. This year includes stays at Mulberry Inn and Radisson Frances Marion with historic tours of Owens Thomas House Davenport House and the Charleston carriage ride. Cost is 375 per person double occupancy with details from Pat Tinney or Hilda McGee.

The BLM will bring about 150 wild horses from Western states to the Cat tlemen's Livestock Auction yards in Tampa Florida for a two day adoption on January 23 and 24 Applicants may request up to four horses but must have transport suitable facilities and ability to care for them An adoption fee of 125 per horse is charged Details are available via the Adopt A Horse and Burro Program at BLM 350 South Pickett Street Alexandria VA 22304 or by calling (703) 274 0068 The agency seeks Southeast residents to ease overpopulation on public rangelands and notes 2400 horses have already been adopted by Georgians Floridians and Alabamians through its centers and temp sites.
