Candidate Leaves Race To Head Citizens Group
Destin city council candidate Paul Hayden withdrew his name from the race to chair the nonpartisan Committee for Good Government. The group plans public meetings with all 37 city council and four mayoral candidates to help citizens judge who to vote for while remaining independent of any candidate. Hayden, 68, says he created the PAC and will devote time to informing voters about candidate qualifications and the duties of office.
