Santa Rosa golfer Blessey sets course record at 66
Walter Blessey of Santa Rosa Beach shot a 66 at Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club on July 22 to break the course record previously held by Steve Connelly and Sammy Rachaels at 67. He birdied the eighth to go four under, then six under after a late burst, missing a final birdie by 15 feet on the 18th. Blessey credits accuracy and steady play amid a short, tight course and says golf remains a lifelong, self disciplined challenge.
