The Marshall Elevator company was incorporated in Des Moines yesterday by E. D. Hamlin H. M. Porter and J. T. Fellows all of Des Moines. Authorized capital stock is 50000 with 20100 paid in. The incorporators have purchased an elevator and cleaning in transit plant at Marshalltown and several small plants along the Story City branch of the Iowa Central road. The business will be run through the Marshalltown plant, with offices and headquarters in Des Moines.

American Shipbuilding seals $2 million lake ship deal
Cleveland June 28 one of the lakes largest ship building deals closed by American Shipbuilding company. It booked orders for eleven freight steamers at about two million dollars. Ten ships contracted by A B Wolvin of Duluth, aiming to move grain and package freight via the St Lawrence to Quebec. Canadian canal size hulls 4122 feet keel 42 feet beam 28 feet deep.
