Fragmentary OCR brings a collage of events and anecdotes: fencing and golf champions, an arrest and a dubious alibi involving a dog, a Philadelphia police anecdote, a Lord Wolseley Melba supper joke, and a Burlington Route travel pitch. Names and places are jumbled, but the tone mimics a busy newspaper miscellany.
