In Des Moines in Judge McHenry's division the Dorr Cattle Company sues the Des Moines National Bank for damages from an alleged wrongful attachment in Chicago on December 27, 1894. Five at Chesterton Indiana Fire Destroys Half Town

A Sunday night blaze in Chesterton Indiana burned half the business district from 10 PM to 2 AM. South Bend and Laporte sent an engine but arrived after control. The post office and a hotel burned with losses estimated between 50000 and 100000, as the entire male town population helped fight the fire.
