German Prisoner Missing At Sunnyside Plantation
Coroner from Coweta counts was called to Sunnyside in Chicot County to hold an inquest over a body from the Sunny Side plantation. Report says a German internee vanished after taking quinine then left for Bayou to cook, clothing found by the bayou, body not recovered, possibly an escape.

Dermott Negro Killed After Wareroom Robbery
Dermott laborer Oscar Crawford, linked to Dermott Grocery and Commission Co, hid from night marshal George Moore during a theft in the company wareroom. He escaped with a sack worth about 50 cents in groceries. Crawford was later killed by a deputy sheriff at Rex Mississippi while resisting arrest. a stolen gun was found on him.
