Local Dermott items urge Red Cross knitters to supply garments and yarn, note yarn and instructions available, and list contacts. Other notes report residents moving, a brick building contract, property purchases, a residence fire, weather records, Liberty Bond reminders, a county official speaking event, a national defense service observance, vaccination calls, church convention reports, and local club meeting changes.
Local items show Red Cross calls for volunteers and phone numbers. notices list ware signs like bottled goods, Royal Society packages, farm implements for sale, and visits by J. W. Barnett and Miss Edna Carmical. Ads offer wood, Christmas items, blacksmith services, and office space for rent.
Beginning tonight and continuing until the weather moderates the light plant will shut down at midnight to conserve the fuel supply. The public is asked to take notice and be prepared. Teresa in charge and Alexander, Supt. of Water and Lights, issues the notice.
Masons Dermott Lode No 654 Fo and ALM will hold its annual election of officers on Turaday evening December 18. All members urged to be present by order of the Worshipful Master RP Blythe Acting Secretary.
Land owners are warned that only a short time remains to redeem lands assessed for drainage taxes. The Board does not seek to take land but may be forced to if taxes are not paid. Owners should secure tax receipts and address overdue follow ups by the district.
