Denver Sunday School meets at 9 30 a m with Lee Long supervisor and H W Park pastor. Orchard M E Curran Chili Sunday School at 9 30 a m with Amos Long superintendent. Preaching services held morning and evening under H W Panx pastor.
The B Y P A holds an evening prayer meeting at 7 45 with the pastor leading. A midweek service is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 00.
The Brethren Church lists Bible study at 9 30 a.m. with Sam Clingaman Sept preaching at 10 30 a.m. and 8 00 p.m. Christian Endeavor at 7 o'clock. The public is invited to all services. A T Wraier is pastor.
Perryburg residents report weekend visits and church services. Families including Bayless Staller Yoder Knauf Brubaker Buck and Hamilton share time with relatives in Deedsville Peru North Manchester and Indianapolis. A Methodist service was held with Rev Duryee in the morning and Rev Thornburg in the evening.
Russell D Haines and Robert Fouts left Denver last Thursday for Champaign Illinois to begin a year of work at the University of Illinois Haines serves as assistant cashier at Citizens State Bank in Denver Brumiller takes his place Wayne Miller returns to Purdue for a second year in civil engineering pursuing a four year course
A Seniors Day service is planned at Ebenezer church next Sunday September 26 at 10:80. Rev W E Murry of Huntington Ind will speak. he formerly pastored Ebenezer thirty years ago. A basket dinner follows and arrangements are being made to transport those without a way. Call J N Morrssey Deedsville Ind to arrange transport.
Mrs Emma McCoy attended by her brother and sister in law left Saturday for Peru then by car to Galveston for the funeral of their cousin Mrs Margaret Stauffer. Stauffer age over eighty and in ill health for months leaving a widowed husband.
The October meeting of the Ladies' Aid Society will meet at the church on Wednesday afternoon October 6th. Mrs Lulu Gustin is the hostess with assistants Mesdames Claude Bridegroom Don Trent and C P Cover. An interesting program will be given and all members are urged to attend.
A morning straw vote was taken aboard train No. 802.0 en route to Logansport on the Vandalia line. The crowded car held G. A. R. veterans and wives. Harding received 56 votes, Cox 12, Watkins 1, totaling 69 votes.

Lorenzo Donaldson born January 24 1845 in Miami county Indiana died September 11 1920 at age 75 7 17. He married Elizabeth Westcheffer March 11 1866 and had one daughter and three sons. He joined United Brethren church and lived devoutly for his Master. He leaves wife a daughter and three sons a brother Leroy P. Donaldson Adrian Missouri fifteen grandchildren four great grandchildren and many friends.
A Wednesday afternoon shower hosted by Mrs. Arthur Lewis at 14 Highlands Place Peru celebrated Miss Theresa Sampsel of Anderson, formerly of Peru. The event announced her pending wedding to Grimes Derek of Denver on September 22 at high noon, with guests including Mrs. C. O. Deyck, Mrs. Glenn Brown, and Mrs. G. A. Davis from Denver.
A special business meeting of the Ladies Aid Society of the Methodist church will be held at the church on Friday afternoon this week September 25 at two o'clock. All members are urged to be present as important business will be transacted.
The Woman's Missionary Society of the Brethren church will meet next Thursday September 30 at the church for an all day session. Quilting is planned for the forenoon and devotional and business in the afternoon. The change comes due to the State conference in the first week of October.

The state department of conservation lists opening and closing dates and bag limits for waterfowl and game birds. Wild ducks and geese run Sept 16 to Dec 31 with bag limits of 15 and 8 respectively. coot, gallinules, plover, yellowlegs, and jacksnipe have Sept 1 to Nov 30 or Sept 16 to Dec 20 windows with limits from 6 to 15. Prairie chickens run Oct 16 to Oct 31 with a limit of 5. quail and ruffed grouse Nov 10 to Dec 19 with 15. Not more than 45 in possession for three or more consecutive days.
Judge Samuel E. Cook of Huntington, Democratic candidate for Congress in the 11th District, was in Denver on Friday meeting friends and building support for the November 2 election. He and Mrs. Cullen of Indianapolis will speak in Denver Friday evening at 7 00 p m and then travel to Chili and Gilead as part of a four day Miami county tour with Mrs Cullen addressing women voters.
Mrs. Samantha Brower of Montdale visits with her daughter Mrs. Charles Long and relatives for the North Valparaiso event on September 28 featuring Auto polo attractions and a free act.
Reports from the United States Department of Agriculture show the United States exports more butter than it imports and overall consumption dwarfs imports. The record 1919 import was 9,915,868 pounds with exports at 34,556,485 pounds, yielding a net export of 25,037,117 pounds.
Miss Theresa Fay Sampsel of Anderson and Grimes Benjam in Derek son of Mr and Mrs C O Derek of Denver were married Wednesday at the Baptist parsonage in Peru. Dr J W Hoyt officiated with Nellie Sharp of Peru as bridesmaid and Robert Kline of Denver as best man. The couple will reside in Anderson after a brief wedding trip.
The funeral for Mrs Sherman Fouts nee Vera Guyer was held Wednesday at 10:80 at Chili Baptist church. Interment followed in Chili cemetery. Mrs Fouts, a young woman, died Sunday night after several days illness. Her husband served as a soldier in the World War.
Mrs. Charles Alderfer of Union City visits Denver to see her mother Mrs. Mary Keister and daughter Mrs. Solt who has been ill but is improving under Dr. Whymire’s care.
