A September 2 Denver reunion at Garfield Park Indianapolis gathered twenty eight former Denver residents for an afternoon of renewing friendships and shared food. Organizers plan annual events and invite others to send names for a future directory.

Rural Route No 23 George Lee made a business trip to Peru on Wednesday. Mr and Mrs Edwin Hoover are caring for a baby girl born last Friday. George Steffy and family visited Frank Matthias and sisters Sunday. All from this place attended the Chili Picnic Saturday. Miss Mary Dice visits her sister Mrs Hattie Helm. Jank Matthias paints for Irvin Mays. William Ream and family spent Sunday with Katie Sunday. John Ream of North Manchester visited his parents Saturday night. John Cole and family attended the funeral of Mrs Cole s sister Mrs Shingler at Wagoner Sunday.
Jesse Bond and his wife Emmeline Moore and daughter, along with Charles Bond and wife, John Keyes and family, Mrs. Margaret Bond and sons Omer and Jesse, Edwin W Murphy and family, Oscar L Bond and family, and Mary Citus, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bond in Randolph County.

At the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis starting Sept 9 the emphasis shifts toward Hoosier soil showcasing agriculture. Premiums total 437 for grain and seeds, 217 for vegetables, 116 for potatoes, 103 for root crops, with nearly 300 in the corn show. A Missouri Kansas Indian Territory Oklahoma Texas exhibit accompanies the horticultural display, not for prizes. Fruits receive 735 in awards.
The Baptist church Junior Boys Club picnicked Tuesday leaving Denver to the Eel river banks near Mexico. They enjoyed games and a plentiful meal with attendees including Gerald Haines Clyde Moon Carl Piper Ralph Hoole Newell Woolley Glenn Dewald Walter Bender Harry Eikenberry Russell Haines Walter Shater Merle Ferrow Ralph Kinzie and Reuben See.
Rev Lutey and family visited Rev Knauss of Logansport from Friday to Monday and heard readings by poet Phillip Amsbury at the Chautauqua. The Cleveland Ladies Orchestra performed several times, and Capt. R Pearson Hobson spoke on "America's Mighty Mission." The Chautauqua closes Sunday September 8th.
A Pa. family claims their five year eczema afflicted boy improved after using Electric Bitters. They state two doctors said hopeless due to lung involvement, but after trying Bitters the boy was fully cured. Sold at W. L. Pinet drug store for 50c.
Those delivering poultry to the store are asked to bring birds in on Thursday forenoon. The request aims to smooth meat supply and handling at the grocer.
