Mrs L C Moon born July 1 1866 near Perrysburg Indiana died Oct 13 1903 three miles southwest of Fulton Indiana following childbirth exhaustion. She married L C Moon in 1882 and had eight children with two predeceased. She belonged to Fulton Baptist church Daughters of Rebekah Gleaners and L O T M. Funeral at Fulton Baptist church with D of R Gleaners and L O T M attendants sermon by Rev Conley. Interment I O O F cemetery north of town.

Last Thursday evening Rev. F. L. Erlougher and his family were greeted by the Chili class with a friendly pounding amounting to fourteen gifts for their larder. The event, though surprising, was received with good humor and evident appreciation by the preacher and attendees.

Sunday Excursion to Rochester and Michigan City
On Sunday October 22 1903 the L E R and WR will run a popular cheap excursion from Denver. The special train leaves at 9 28 am with fares 45 cents to Rochester and one dollar to Michigan City. Boating fishing and many amusements await. A steamboat ride on the Jakes is offered.

Two miles east of Perthon Springdale farm owned by showman B E Wallace a shallow trench turned grave mystery into an empty hole fifteen feet deep. Jefferson Robertson and workers dug deeper finding oak boards footprints and possible box remains. police asked to investigate amid theories of a buried corpse or stolen goods.

House Break-In Stuns Local Resident

Paralyzed by Lightning Strikes Mexican Boy
The fifteen year old son of Mr and Mrs Ephriam Fishburn near Mexico was struck by lightning while seeking shelter under a tree during a storm. He was briefly paralyzed but regained consciousness and dragged to help. He received medical care and showed signs of recovery. the ramrod melted by the bolt is noted as a bizarre detail.

Denver Odd Fellows Visit Mexico Lodge Initiation
A Denver group of eight Odd Fellows Sam Yoder Joe Warren Geo Smith Fred Mathias J I McCoy Levi Leed Charles Aley and Eli Gustin traveled to Mexico Saturday night to view an initiatory degree by a Peru staff. After the ceremony a banquet by the Daughters of Rebekah followed and the visitors helped with the feast. The party reports a fine time.
