Wiedenhoeft Resigns as Jefferson Township Assessor

Frank Wiedenhoeft presented his resignation to Auditor McElhaney and will resign immediately to move to Wabash County. Albert Eikenberry will succeed him, serving about three years. Wiedenhoeft had a four year term extended to six by the last legislature.

Garnishee Case Sustained in Local Debt Action

The Garnishee case of E D Leavitt against William Kerachner for a grocery account was sustained and Kerachner ordered to pay a weekly amount until the debt is cleared. A separate suit for perjury against Leavitt was filed by Kerachner but dismissed after investigation. sheriff notified not to serve summons.
