A gathering at the home of Mr and Mrs Henry Lewis drew cousins from nearby towns and distant cities. Twelve lasting servings were shared among thirty-one relatives with photos taken after dinner. Guests traveled from Rochester Fairbury Logansport and Maxickuckee while others resided within fifteen miles. The Cool family reunion was noted as a rare and memorable event.

Six shoats were burned and the total loss is estimated at 3300 dollars with 2300 dollars insured. Andrew Birk resides on the farm and Tomey runs a mercantile business in Peru.
