Recital by Alvin Roper at Chili Church Draws Attention

Alvin Roper, famed pianist with a national career, will perform at Chili M E Church Tuesday evening under the Live Wire Class sponsorship. Tickets cost 15 and 25 cents and are sold at C C Endsley’s store and through class members.

Mildred Eileen Keplinger Dies at One in Southside

Mildred Eileen Keplinger aged one year three months twenty days died at 111 East Spring Street Southside from spinal trouble. She was born February 11 1920 in Peru. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 30 pm at the family home with Rev Hoff of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial was in Mt Hope cemetery. Sympathy goes to Merle and Louise Keplinger.

Hack Service Returns to Peru and Mexico Fares Listed

Fractured skull endangers Bloomington golf student

Berneth Andrews an 18 year old from Peru suffered a skull fracture at Indiana University Bloomington when struck near the left eye with a golf club while being tutored in golf. He remained unconscious for a period before surgery and doctors expected a possible recovery. His parents and Dr E H Andrews hurried to Bloomington by car.
