Last week Denver school teachers asked patrons to state wishes on reviving the Parent-Teachers Club. Of 65 ballots, 63 returned. 59 voted to reorganize, 3 voted no. A first meeting is planned around October 16, date to depend on securing a suitable speaker.

New Equipment Improves Denver School Facilities

Trustee D S Hood provides a sewing machine and overhauls two others while adding a full kitchen set for the eighth grade girls. A giant stride and see saw are installed on the playground. The improvements aim to boost school value and benefit for pupils and the community.

Pumpkin Contest to Aid Red Cross in Japanese Relief

Contestants who entered last spring must register by 9 A M and receive numbers by 9 30 A M with one pumpkin per entrant. Pumpkins will be auctioned for Red Cross relief. cash prizes totaling 62 50 will be awarded by Citizens State Bank. Prizes range from 10 00 to 1 00 based on weight and type with an extra 2 percent interest for prize winners with a bank savings account.

The Jefferson Two High School 1922 graduating class surprised principal Lyman L Hann at his Mexico home Sunday noon.
