Red Cross Seals Drive Aims to Raise Funds in Peru Area

The Red Cross committee of the Anti Tuberculosis society will start selling seal stamps to support the association's work. Committees and ward chairmen will be named for Peru and county townships. Students in public schools will sell Christmas seals again to fund tuberculosis relief. Last year yielded a good sum. this year officials hope for more as the Nurse program benefits from increased funding.

Dislocated Shoulder Injures Peru Woman

Mrs. Sarah McClain of 157 West Seventh street suffered a dislocated right shoulder with torn ligaments and bruises after a rotten board on the boardwalk gave way. A physician attended her and she is recovering. Local injury reported by the Peru Chronicle.

John Cornell suffers nervous breakdown during return from Windsor trip

John Cornell traveled to Windsor Ohio to view land for a possible farm investment. After purchasing a farm with A W Aman he began return to Denver but collapsed in Niles Ohio. He was taken to Peru under sheriff care and will be admitted to Longcliff at Logansport for treatment after officials arrange.

Taken to Hospital for Abscess and Surgery

Miss Ethel Earhart of Woolley town was taken by her mother Mrs Abner Earhart to the Methodist hospital in Indianapolis last Thursday for treatment possibly including surgery. She has long been ill with an abscess on her left side and had prior hospital visits for the right side. An operation performed Friday morning at eight was complete and successful, with Dr Wayvillef e, her home physician, present. she is expected to return home in two or three weeks.

Hear Him Charles Bleah to Speak and Sing in Denver

Charles Bleah, Africa native converted by a missionary, visits the United States for eight years of study and has won prizes in musical contests. He will speak and sing Saturday at Chili at 7:80 p.m. Sunday at M. E. church in Denver at 10:45 a.m. and Tuesday at Ebenezer at 7:30 p.m.
