G A R Veteran Ezra Cypherd Dies at 63 in Pomona
Ezra Cypherd a Civil War veteran of the Eighty seventh Indiana died Sept 27 1906 in Pomona Hospital Val aged 63 He leaves a widow a daughter in Pomona and two married sons in Indiana The funeral is set for tomorrow 2 30 pm at McGowan chapel with Rev C P Wilson officiating Burial in Pomona Cemetery. Cypherd born in Green County Ohio enlisted as a boy and served three years earning a neck wound at Vicksburg in 1863 the bullet never removed and later caused his death He was known as a quiet dutiful husband father friend and citizen.
