Ladies Aid Society meeting at Mrs Dukes home

The ME Aid Society held its regular meeting and social hour yesterday afternoon at Mrs M N Dukes on East Harrison Street. About twenty ladies attended and enjoyed the event. Rev JF Lutey delivered an engaging talk that was well received. A dainty two course lunch was served.

School Opens With Bright Prospects in Denver

Our school opened Monday with good attendance and bright prospects for a profitable term. The new building inspires teachers and pupils and is the pride of Denver and vicinity. Credit goes to trustee J A Woolley and advisory board members Mr Stuber of Mexico Albert Donaldson and W W Sellers. The old building’s poor ventilation caused sickness, now remedied by clear ventilation and warm rooms. the beauty of the new school is grand, inviting all to see.

Basket Factory Remains in Denver After Move Plans

Denver readers learn that the Redman family will keep the Basket Company in Denver. Machinery is being moved into the old school building to resume work, quelling rumors of a Converse relocation and praising Mr Redman as a trusted local leader.
