Two More Passenger Trains Planned on Butler Division

Railroad removes shovel from Denver gravel spit
The L L E W Railroad last Thursday moved the steam shovel away from the Denver gravel spit amid trouble as the engine jumped the track. The shovel is now digging the banks of the Hiner cut north of Peru to supply dirt for new freight yards north of town. BH Mikesell, a popular blacksmith, has been ill for several days.
