Death of Oscar McEheee at Mrs Smithy Home

Oscar McEheee died at the home of Mrs. W. Smithy on Friday October 28 1898 after long illness from an unspecified throat condition that culminated in consumption. He was well known and respected in the community. Funeral services were conducted by Rev JM Baker at Mrs Sath’s home on Sunday forenoon and his body was buried in West Lawn cemetery.
