A serious accident at a basket factory injured Harry Freer last Thursday afternoon. While handling rims, his left arm carried a basket near a revolving small saw, causing a severe finger laceration and damage to two other fingers. Dr. Newell treated him and the injury may cause stiffness in one finger.
An individual advertises five town lots on West Washington Street for sale at very low prices with reasonable terms. Inquiries directed to EK A Guyer.
The Denver paper lists ads and items from L. C. Dukes and Caple & Co, a Waltz Sisters show June 9 and 10, and numerous community updates. It reports births, illnesses, travels, and local business activity including a new cement car, bridge work, and plans for a May 17 rail excursion to Rochester and Michigan City.
A local druggist W L Piper touts Eckstein Hill lead as the best and most durable option.
A new organization named You Go I Go Social Club was launched at Mrs Omer Pipers home to provide social entertainment for members and friends through summer and winter. It aims to add literary and educational elements later. the initial group includes about 14 married and single ladies with Alta Robbins as president, Sde Vore as secretary, and Mrs Harry Piper as treasurer. Meetings occur biweekly with occasional best evening events inviting husbands and male friends.
