Pioneer Obituary: Sarah Derek 88 Longtime Peruvian Resident
Mrs Sarah Derek died after years of illness at her home near Peru. Born April 30 1904 in Kosciusko to Henry and Barbara Keim she married Bennie Derek in 1848. She leaves four sons two daughters twenty four grandchildren thirty two great grandchildren and many relatives. Funeral services were held Monday at Chili conducted by Rev Irvin Fisher.

Stolen horse and buggy recovered near Denver
A horse and buggy owned by Alva Ault of Twelve Mile was stolen from the public square Saturday night. The Miami County Detective Association located the outfit near Denver and returned it to the owner yesterday. A $50 reward is offered for the thief’s arrest and conviction.

Mary Brower born October 25 1830 in Preble County Ohio died near Denver Indiana April 26 1904 aged 73 years 6 months 1 day She moved to Miami County in 1851 married John W Brower in 1855 They had Isaiah and Minerva and a infant child She leaves three grandchildren one brother two sisters and many relatives She was a German Baptist church member for nearly thirty years Rev Irvin Fisher conducted the funeral at Mexico with Silas Fisher Mexican Cemetery interred class.

Mrs David Koon Pioneer Resident of Miami County Dies
Mrs David Koon a longtime resident of Miami county died at her home one mile north of Perrysburg last Sunday from old age infirmities. She belonged to the Baptist church and was described as faithful and devoted. Funeral services were held in Deedsville Tuesday with Rev D W Sanders officiating. Burial followed in Deedsville cemetery.
