Aaron Berger is the incumbent Democrat seeking renomination for the Miami circuit court clerk position. The announcement praises his past service, hometown roots, and calls for voter support at the Democratic nominating convention.
Aaron Zook announces his candidacy for county treasurer subject to party nominating conventions. A lifetime Miami County resident, he has served as a city mail carrier for eighteen years and has long been affiliated with the Democratic Party.
Interest in the Great Chili Denver Methodist Sunday School contest increases as attendance and points rise. Chili had 159 attendees for 476 points, Denver 165 for 647 points, expanding Denver lead to 141. Both churches expect reach toward two hundred attendees next Sunday. Denver buys new song books and promotes plans.
Rose E. Fagan announces a new millinery shop at Garrison's Store offering ladies and children's hats of the latest styles. She will update stock weekly and invites customers to call and view the goods, promising to do her best to please them. Watch for opening date.

The Sunday School of a Denver M E Church drew 165 attendees with a divine mood. Rev Cook urged converts to join Christ and 83 came forward, followed by 54 more at a Baptist meeting later that night.

Examinations will be held April 18 1914 at Columbia City Logansport Peru Rochester and many other places in the state for postmasters at fourth class offices with annual compensation up to 180 dollars not appointed under civil service. Announcements from Denver state the marriage of Mildred Brouwer and Ernest Frech occurred March 4 at the bride’s sister’s home in Bridgeport Connecticut. Mildred, daughter of Albert and Mrs Brouer of Peru, has resided with her sister, while Fred Frech, a Huntington native formerly of Chickasaw Pharmacy, now resides in Stockton California and will join his bride after May 1. The couple plans to travel east and then head to California via Peru. Mrs Frech is well known in Denver.
Bert Knockener of Iowa and Miss Alice Imhoof of Hoovers enjoyed a pleasant day with C. F. Fite and relatives on Thursday. Meanwhile the Moyer Gray infant, ill with pneumonia at Mrs. Katie Sunday’s home in South Denver, shows slow improvement.
