Obituary for Tracy Smith in Macy and Denver areas

Smith Tracy born February 14 1861 near Macy Indiana died February 26 1920 in Denver Indiana aged 59. He married Alvira Seidner on January 14 1882 and had one son and four daughters with eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home and he is interred at the I O Q F cemetery in Denver.

Recital at Chili features Thornburg sisters and White

Mrs. Fred Thornburg of Peru and Mrs. Alvin White of Denver present a Song and Piano Recital at the M E Church in Chili Saturday at eight under Chili Aid Society auspices. Dwight Thornburg will perform several piano numbers. admission is 25 cents for adults and 10 cents for school children.

Sells Old Mill In Public Sale At QOA Phillips

At the QO A Phillips public sale Saturday Aces Dukes and the Dowald Brothers bought the old grist mill building Sid Fuller bought the two part lots with the mill. Fuller already owns the south end and will gain full ownership. Dowald and Dukes plan to raze the mill and reuse its lumber for new buildings.

Fire damages Denver home. roof partly scorched

A small blaze Friday forenoon damaged part of the kitchen roof of the P. M. Smith residence in southwest Denver. Sparks dropping on the roof started the fire, but the Denver volunteer fire department quickly contained it and saved the house.

Taxpayers urged to pay via local banks by May 3 1920

Notice informs taxpayers they may pay through their banker by providing name and property location and have the banker forward tax receipts to the County Treasurer. Payments via bank must arrive by May 3 1920 to avoid delinqu ency and banks may require payment at the bank under reasonable terms.

Divorce Decree in Peru Court Separates Wetherows

In Peru Tuesday morning circuit court granted a legal separation of E B Wetherow from Ercell Wetherow. No children were born to the union and property rights were settled out of court. The plaintiff, formerly county superintendent of schools, now serves as State High School Inspector. Mrs Wetherow is undergoing a twenty four week penmanship and music program in Columbus Ohio and recently finished a twelve week course at Muncie Normal College.

Jefferson Sunday Dead At Eighty In South Denver

Jefferson Sunday aged eighty died at his home in South Denver Wednesday morning after a short illness. He is survived by two sons and a daughter. Services will be at his home Friday at 9 o'clock and the body taken to Fulton for burial.
