Miss Arvilla Ogle was the guest of Ethel Hoagland Saturday. Mr and Mrs Galen Wise of Bunker Hill visited Lizzie Leffel and family Saturday night and Sunday. Albert Leffel stayed in Denver Saturday night. Paul Dewald and family visited Cal Yoder Sunday. Will Rankle moved to Stockdale farm last week. Floyd and Omer Fisher of Denver visited Herman Ream Sunday. Galen Wise visited Will Ream at the sugar camp Sunday. Mrs Lizzie Staller visited Mrs Sarah Berger and daughter Ethel Thursday afternoon.
Mrs Albert Brower visited relatives and friends in the community. She was hosted by Mrs Oscar Bond on Monday, by Mrs J W Newell on Tuesday, by Mr and Mrs Charles Long on Tuesday night, and by Mrs W W Kirby and daughter Mrs Olive Miller on Wednesday.

William IE Yoder aged 25 of Lewisburg died Friday at 9 am. Funeral services were Sunday at New Weavery at 2 pm led by Rev. John Parker with Rev. Lyons assisting. Interment followed at Eel River Chapel cemetery. He was a nephew of John Yoder of Denver. He attended with his wife and children Roy and Orpha.
Mrs Ralph See and her nine year old adopted daughter Pearl May Cavanaugh were among forty or more killed when a west bound New York Central Flyer collided with an east bound Michigan Central Canadian Flyer near Porter Indiana. See and daughter were en route from Chicago to Michigan City after visiting See's mother. News of the tragedy shocked friends and relatives in Miami County.
The Ladies Aid Society of the Methodist Church met at Mrs. J. W. Newell's home and elected officers for the coming year. President Mrs. Russell Long leads the list, with L. C. Dukes as vice president, Elvin Long secretary, C. L. Hollenback assistant secretary, Ina Fouts treasurer, Charles Long assistant treasurer, Charles Pyle chaplain, Glen Smith assistant chaplain, G. W. Musselman pianist, George Kessler assistant pianist, Dow Trent chorister, and E. S. Waymire assistant chorister.
Curtis Stockdale leaves soon for Indianapolis to join the Inter-State Traction Co Freight Department as clerk. His uncle Omer Stockdale has been an agent there for fourteen years and helped Curtis secure the job. He will reside with his grandmother Mrs Adair while in the city.
In loving remembrance of our dear father Smith Tracey who passed away one year ago February 26th. We, his wife and children, recall his presence and feel life is not the same without him as we carry a shadow over us.
Joseph Murphy and his wife relocate from a country home north of Denver to the Burkholder place in South Denver, a property they had purchased earlier. Murphy is retiring from active farm life and is stepping back from farming duties.
Harley Zumbaugh of Tiosa and Harry Zumbaugh of Argos stayed for Sunday dinner with Mrs. John Fahl and Miss Emma Berkheiser. They attended Brethren Church services with Ira Eikenberry and family, Harley leading the singing during special meetings.

The Macy Monitor publishes its final issue with editor J. F. Kerry stating low subscriptions and rising costs forced the closure. Kerry moves the plant to Andrews, Indiana, to continue newspaper work.
The Indiana Mfg Co closes the Macy basket factory branch and transfers all forms and material to Denver. Mr Eve will concentrate all work at the Denver plant. Melville Leffel, formerly in charge at Macy, relocates his family back to South Denver.
Local insurance agent Lewis H. Dice promotes Tornado policies with low rates. The ad emphasizes preparing before storms strike, offering fire and automobile coverage and promising to handle the rest by telephone.
The Mexico community praised the Parent-Teachers Association after a crowded Tuesday night session at the Mexico Baptist Church. Rev. Irvin Fisher spoke on school and community needs while local music included the Mexico Male Quartette and Ladies Quartette, with satire by four elders from Pumpkin Center. The group now has over eighty five members and aims for a hundred as support grows.
The Brethren Church held three weeks of services ending Sunday evening with a baptismal service the next morning. Nine accessions were recorded, and an immense crowd gathered Sunday night to hear a sermon by Pastor Rev. Wirick.
Robert Broman who ran the Denver pool room moved household goods to Galveston Ind yesterday. His daughter accompanied him in a Ford, while Mr. and Mrs. Broman plan to make their home there. Broman sold the pool hall to Ray Graal who has taken charge.
